~A Friday note

~One of my favorite Paris shops, Au Petit Bonheur la Chance, in the Village Saint Paul.
I was first introduced to it when Rachel brought home a vintage ticking pillow cover she'd found there for me. Now, this shop is a can't miss on every Paris trip. Tiny, and filled with tons of vintage school, office and home ephemera- from French Christmas angel hair in its original wax bag packaging to old stickers, medals, linens, shop tags, monogrammed ID tapes, cotton ribbons, and kitchen wares. And, everything is small for packing!

Teresa - "And everything is small for packing". The key to shopping in Europe. 9/11 has changed a lot of things. In the past I have hauled home tins, metal signs, watches and all sorts of things that now look "bad" on the xray baggage check. But we can still bring back the photos and the smalls if we pack carefully. Good luck on your November market.
