Known for Great Cabinets #5

At home with Genevieve and Beau~We first met Genevieve and Beau when they visited the Atelier for the first time a few months ago. With plans for major restyling of their Buffalo home, it didn't take them long to decide this cabinet - in signature 'Alan' style - would be perfect for their TV~
Genevieve also shared this 'before' photo of their kitchen~
Genevieve: "The house was actually built in 1990, but looks like it was done in the 70's! An elderly couple built it and their design philosophy was kind of stuck back in time."
Wow. Oh my. Yes, this is the same kitchen. Among all the changes they've made, they removed the peninsula base and cabinet hanging over it, painted the cabinets, added a tile backsplash, tiled the floor, and---commissioned a custom Alan island - the "Genevieve", named for her of course~ Because they were installing new granite countertops, they ordered matching granite for the island. Signature Alan style: paneled on three sides, with glass doors and antique iron brackets on the bar side - they'll be adding their own hardware~ (and, it looks like it was a good Valentine's Day, too)

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing, Genevieve and Beau! We're looking forward to seeing more of your inspired home updates, and we're so pleased you've loved furniture and decor from The PORCH & Atelier~ TERESA

Wow-thank you for sharing. I love to see those dramatic before and afters. Fun to see how your customers use your items too. I very much enjoyed seeing your gorgeous home in CL this month. Can't wait to visit your shop again in April or May. Saving one of my school personal days just for one of your big Thursdays with a few of my friends. The Buffalo trip is such a treat for us!! Thanks for your awesome blog-it not the same as being in your store but helps since I am 2 hours away.

Didn't they do an awesome job? I have a few more photos to show today, and she'll be sending more before photos for us. Dramatic, and with great taste! Thanks for your CL comment, and I look forward to seeing you and your friends when you make it out here, Laurie -
